Hello to all followers of my podcast mixes.
I don't make a habit of blogging as I don't know if anyone is really that interested in anything other than the music but here goes anyway.
You will know that the mixes I do feature mainly already well established ambient / experimental artists, and what you realise very quickly is that though there are plenty of tracks from these artists, after a while it gets very samey samey as they do not release music as often as I would like.
And so what tends to happen is that you keep using the same tracks but try and mix it up the best way you can and this can make the listener feel cheated. SO....
Recently, What I have started doing is accepting submissions of unsigned artists who make music to these genres and I have got to say there is some immense talent out there.
I choose the tracks only that make me sit up and listen and not those just to fill the mix.
So far I have worked with a few artists and their work portfolio has been most impressive.
So if you so know anyone who is producing "good" ambient / experimental then let them know.
I can offer world wide exposure within a mix that gets posted to Mixcloud and Podomatic which then goes to iTunes.
I CANT PROMISE EVERYONE WILL GET A MIX PRODUCED but its simple, if its good ambient, it goes in.

I use approximately 4 minutes of a track, and that track must have no drums at all.
I may put together 1 whole mix show casing their work or it may be the odd track in a mix with other artists,
No money is involved, its just me and my hobby, and the artist having their work pushed to all listeners of Ambient Atomic Orbitals around the world.
I will try this for a short period and see if there is any interest, if not then I will continue digging for ambient in other dark places.
I will obviously post links to the artists web site for that kind of traffic as standard.
